- France’s economy will take two years to recover from its worst post-war recession.
- The euro zone’s second-biggest economy is on course to contract 10.3 per cent this year, before it bounces back with growth of 6.9 per cent in 2021 and 3.9 per cent in 2022.
- Nearly a million jobs are likely to be shed this year and unemployment could climb to a new record of 11.8 per cent in the first half of 2021.
- Gross domestic product expected to contract 11% this year.
- National debt is expected to swell to an unprecedented 120.9% of economic output
- Consumer spending will fall by about 10% this year
- 25% increase in bankruptcies
