U.S. RECIPIENTS OF EU GRANTS
The EU offers three major grant programs in the United States: the EU Centers of Excellence, Transatlantic Research and Debates Program, and Getting to Know Europe grants.
1. EU Centers of Excellence
EU Centers of Excellence advance the study of the EU, the understanding of its institutions and policies and EU-US relations through teaching programs, scholarly research and outreach activities extended by the Centers to their local and regional communities.

2. Transatlantic Research and Debate
Transatlantic Research and Debate grant activities focus on a number of different topics, in particular deepening of the transatlantic economy via the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, strengthening the political dialogue and initiatives on foreign policy, and pursuing common approaches to issues of common concern (energy security, sustainable energy transition, climate change and its security aspects, sustainable transportation, and the green economy.

3. Getting to Know Europe
Through its Getting to Know Europe grant competition, the European Commission awards funding to US-based non-governmental, non-profit organizations for programs to promote a greater knowledge of the EU within local and regional communities around the US.
