  1. about 56% is from aeronautical means, such as terminals, landing and passenger fees paid by the airlines.
  2. 40% comes from non-aeronautical activities. Out of this figure (Retail concessions account for 28.8%, Car parking 20.0%, Property & Real Estate 35,7%, Others (Advertising, Car rentals and more: 15.0%)
  3. Others: 4.6%

On average the cost to operate an airport is $ 13.55 per passenger. This figure varies greatly based on size and location. Heathrow for example needs to generate $ 19 per passenger to breakeven.
