The CCPI 2021 uses 14 indicators and the following four categories:

  1. GHG Emissions 
  2. Renewable Energy 
  3. Energy Use 
  4. Climate Policy 

No country has yet to meet the Paris Agreement's requirements to keep global warming well below 2C.
