EP BARS RUSSIA-BACKED LOBBYISTS

EU Parliament strips lobbyists representing Russia's interests of their accreditation. The European Parliament is banning entry to lobbyists representing Russian interests. Russian company representatives may not enter Parliament buildings “effective immediately,”. The ban “applies to all entities that are established in the Russian Federation and that are listed in the EU transparency register”  as well as entities subject to EU sanctions. .

The Parliament has also called on the European Commission and Council to block Russia-linked lobbyists.

AbbVie: AbbVie has appointed Jerome Bouyer as senior vice president of Europe. 

EUREGHA: Michele Calabrò has joined EUREGHA, the network of European Regional and Local Health Authorities, as director. 

European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs (EUCOPE): Leander Vranken has joined the European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs (EUCOPE) as its new policy officer, in charge of digital health-related issues.

THE EU 6TH PACKAGE OF SANCTIONS

  1. The EU Russian oil embargo will involve phasing out seaborne crude imports within six months and refined product imports by the end of the year.
  2. EU leaders have agreed to exclude pipeline crude supplies from the embargo for an unspecified period.
