NEW APPOINTMENTS IN BRUSSELS

European Agenda confirms the latest personnel changes in Brussels

  1.  Anders Ahnlid has been appointed as the new Permanent Representative of the Swedish Representation to the European Union.
  2. The European Commission has appointed Dominique Ristori as the new Director-General of its Department for Energy, replacing Philip Lowe.
  3. Andrä Rupprechter is the new Secretary-General of the Committee of the Regions.
  4. Joost Korte has been appointed a Deputy Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development.
  5.  Mariana Hristcheva is the new head of office of the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO).
  6.  Margus Rahuoja is the new head of office of Siim Kallas, the Commissioner for Transport
  7. The Secretariat General of the Benelux Union has appointed Wim Martens as Policy Advisor Innovation and Regional Development.
  8. Pauline Gessant has been re-elected as President of JEF-Europe (Young European Federalists).
  9. Radoslaw Sikorski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, is the new co-chairman of the EPP Foreign Ministers group.
  10. Janusz Lacny has been re-elected President of the International Road Transport Union (IRU)
  11. Jean-Camille Uring has been elected as new President of the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO).
  12. The European Association of Fashion Retailers, has unanimously elected Bernard Morvan as its new President for a term of three years.
  13. Elena Berloni has been appointed Secretary General of Euromalt, the trade association representing the malting industry in the European Union.
