Note
The move by Russia is a profoundly undemocratic act against freedom of expression, pluralism of opinions, and freedom of the press. The public should have unrestricted access to information and diverse viewpoints, allowing them to form their own opinions.
Blocking media outlets from accessing the public and their sources of information is condemnable and profoundly undemocratic. Citizens should be empowered to choose which media they follow, and any attempt to manipulate or restrict media access is “dishonorable, condemnable, and reeks of repression.
