AALEP LAUNCHES INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH INITIATIVE

The Association of Accredited Public Policy Advocates to the European Union (AALEP) is launching an outreach initiative intended to expand its international membership and bring more Public Policy Advocates (including lobbyists, public affairs and government affairs professionals, communications and media experts etc.) into the fold. The aim is to promote AALEP around the world and further global competence in Public Policy Advocacy. Global competence is defined as having an open mind while actively seeking to understand cultural norms and expectations of others and leveraging this gained knowledge to interact, communicate and work effectively outside one’s environment. AALEP’s international members will gain the opportunity to form transnational business relationships that can turn into collaborative work.

The core value of membership in AALEP  is the association’s engaged, expert, and collegial community. AALEP wants to help its members develop their skills, their confidence, and to grow and see a future growth in their public policy advocacy practice. The Association believes it is important to be part of an international community of inspiring, generous, and helpful professional public policy advocates. The Association wants its members to generously share their experience and knowledge to help new and experienced colleagues to develop their information and public policy advocacy skills.

Public Policy Advocates at all levels from the person just starting in public policy advocacy to the well-established practitioner are welcome at AALEP. Professional Public Policy Advocates looking for a network of supportive, knowledgeable, and highly skilled practitioners are encouraged to visit the AALEP website  (www.aalep.eu) and consider joining.
