There are 5 key services that Public Policy Advocates provide. They include Strategic Agenda Development, Advocacy, Coalition Building, Programme and Project Support, and Positioning.
Strategic Agenda Development
- Clarifying the context within which a policy or programme request will be considered.
- Detecting key EU funding opportunities.
- Crafting a detailed plan that leads to success.
Advocacy
Effective advocacy depends on a clear and concise message, a thorough command of the relevant history and facts, a consistent effort to convey the client’s message to EU decision makers and the development and maintenance of an ever expanding set of integrity-backed working relationships.
- Conducting the necessary research to develop the rationale and the related materials necessary to meet the information needs of EU decision makers;
- Careful selection of allies.
Coalition Building
- Targeting allies, and drawing them together to skillfully construct and maintain a cohesive coalition.
- Efficiently and effectively integrating the client’s desired policy outcome with the goals and objectives of a larger group.
- Through these strong alliances, presenting broadly appealing messages, significantly expanding the client’s influence in the development of EU policies and programmes.
Programme & Projec Support
- Designing and implementing the strategy necessary to move a project through both the EU decision-making process
- Helping an organization anticipate and preparing for shifting policy trends, allowing them to act rather than react to EU policy changes.
Positioning
- Strategically enhancing the client's visibility with key decision makers in EU institutions and with other appropriate advocacy groups, coalitions, and organizations.
- Helping clients bring their activities to the attention of EU policy makers.
- Helping clients to successfully and constructively influence policy,, and programme proposals being developed by EU decision makers.
