FLIGHT INFORMATION REGIONS (FIRs) IN EUROPE

All airspace around the world is divided into Flight Information Regions (FIRs). Each FIR is managed by a controlling authority that has responsibility for ensuring that air traffic services are provided to the aircraft flying within it. FIRs vary in size.  Smaller countries may have one FIR in the airspace above them and larger countries may have several. Airspace over the ocean is typically divided into two or more FIRs and delegated to controlling authorities within countries that border it. In some cases, FIRs are split vertically into lower and upper sections.

DISTRIBUTION OF THINK TANKS IN EUROPE

Think tanks are public policy research, analysis, and engagement institutions that generate policy- oriented research, analysis, and advice on domestic and international issues that enable policymakers and the public to make informed decisions about public policy issues. Think tanks may be affiliated with a political party, a university, or a government; they are independent institutions that are structured as permanent bodies, not ad hoc commissions.

JERUSALEM: WHERE THERE’S A WILL, THERE’S A WAY

The proposals here below and several possible combinations thereof have been discussed in various forums, and show that dialogue and the development of compromise proposals are possible even for a problem as seemingly intractable as Jerusalem. The proposals made seek to elaborate various sharing and cooperative arrangements that would leave the City undivided while preserving its unique role as a national, cultural and religious symbol for both Israelis and Palestinians.

LES CABINETS DE LOBBYING FRANCAIS/FRENCH LOBBYING CONSULTANCIES

PALESTINE ELECTIONS MUST BE RESCHEDULED WITH THE FULL BACKING OF THE EU AND THE U.S.

Europe and the UN have done little more than express regret at the delay and call for new election dates. The planned Palestinian elections need and deserve steadfast outside support. Foreign powers should do all they can to get the vote back on track, not only offering the PA the assistance it needs to bring off all three rounds of elections smoothly but also strongly discouraging Israel from continuing to derail the process.
