USA, CANADA AND EU TO TAKE MORE THAN A €13 BILLION HIT ON RUSSIAN BAN

The US, Canada and the EU combined will take more than a € 13 billion hit as a result of the Russian ban on agricultural products.

  1. USA: The US  exported € 900 million of food and agricultural products to Russia (out of which € 224 million worth of poultry)
  2. Canada: Canada exported € 400 million to Russia
  3. EU: The EU exported € 11.8 billion to Russia or 10% of the EU’s total agricultural exports. Poland, Netherlands, Germany and France combined accounted for € 6.9 billion or 58% of total exports.
  • Poland: € 2.1 billion (half of its apple production was going to Russia)
  • Netherlands: € 2 billion
  • Germany: € 1.6 billion
  • France: € 1.2 billion
  • Norway: € 746 million worth of seafood was going to Russia)
