THE LOBBYISTS PURGE IN PRESIDENT-ELECT TRANSITION TEAM

Lobbyists are purged from official roles in President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team. The move to get rid of lobbyists in key roles was one of the first decisions made by Vice President-elect Mike Pence in his role overseeing the construction of a Trump administration.

Note:

  1. Appointees to President-elect Donald Trump’s Administration will be asked to sign a form barring them from being a registered lobbyist for five years after they leave government office.
  2. Trump transition members would be barred from lobbying about the issues they had worked on for six months after their departure.
