KEY AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS

  1. The Accommodation Association of Australia: The Accommodation Association of Australia is a dedicated specialist organisation working for employers in the accommodation industry. The Association represents a cross section of industry members including hotels, resorts, motels, bed & breakfasts, backpackers, caravan parks, timeshares, chains and independent operators in metropolitan and regional Australia.The Association aims to support operators, protect business interests and promote a strong and vibrant accommodation sector throughout Australia. The Association has a voice in local, state and federal government on issues relating to the operational needs of the industry.
  2. The Australian Industry Group: The Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) is a peak industry association in Australia which along with its affiliates represents the interests of more than 60,000 businesses in an expanding range of sectors including: manufacturing; engineering; construction; automotive; food; transport; information technology; telecommunications; call centres; labour hire; printing; defence; mining equipment and supplies; airlines; and other industries. The businesses which Ai Group represents employ more than 1 million people. The organization is committed to helping Australian industry with a focus on building competitive and sustainable industries through global integration, skills development, productive and flexible workplace relations, infrastructure development and innovation. Ai Group members operate small, medium and large businesses across a range of industries. Ai Group is closely affiliated with more than 50 other employer groups in Australia alone and directly manages a number of those organisations. Ai Group has formal and long standing links with the Confederation of British Industry.
  3. The Group of Eight: The Group of Eight (Go8) is a coalition of leading Australian universities, comprehensive in general and professional education and distinguished by depth and breadth in research.
  4. Business Council of Australia: The Business Council of Australia provides a forum for Australian business leaders to contribute directly to public policy debates. Membership is made up of the CEOs of 100 of Australia’s top companies. Members represent a range of sectors including mining, retail, manufacturing, infrastructure, information technology, financial services and banking, energy, professional services, transport and telecommunications.
  5. The Winemakers’ Federation of Australia: The Winemakers’ Federation of Australia (WFA) is the peak national body for the Australian wine industry. WFA’s mission is to lead a united and diverse Australian winemaking industry and assist winemakers to achieve sustainable and globally benchmarked profitability. The Federation was created in 1989 as a single, national representative body for Australian winemakers and wine businesses.
  6. The National Farmers Federation: The National Farmers' Federation (NFF) is the peak national body representing farmers and, more broadly, agriculture across Australia. It is one of Australia's foremost and respected advocacy organisations. One of the keys to the NFF's success has been its commitment to presenting innovative and forward-looking solutions to the issues affecting agriculture, striving to meet current and emerging challenges, and advancing Australia's vital agricultural production base.
  7. Australian Services Roundtable: Australian Services Roundtable (ASR) is the peak industry body for the services sector. ASR is the only dedicated whole-of-services industry organisation and the voice of Australian services. ASR is part of the Global Services Coalition. ASR’s mission is to secure Australia’s place in the global services economy. Services employ 85% of Australians and contribute 78% of Industry Value- Add. Despite this compelling reality, services do not register sufficiently on Australia’s public policy radar. There is no national research effort, nor any national services competitiveness strategy. Yet services industries’ policy needs, especially as they globalise, are different from those of the traditional goods-producing industries. ASR is bringing new influence to bear to address these gaps in understanding and boost the profile of the services sector in Australian public life. This is vitally important for all aspects of Australia’s economic, environmental, social and cultural future.
  8. Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI): The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is Australia’s peak council of business organisations and the voice of Australian enterprise & industry.  ACCI speaks at a national and international level on behalf of the nation's peak State and Territory Chambers of Commerce and Industry and National Industry Associations from all sectors of the economy. These significant and representative organisations make up ACCI's National Member Network and enables ACCI to be the essential connection between industry, governments, regulators and influential policy forums which influence business at home and abroad. ACCI's focus is the promotion of a world class environment for doing business in Australia which encourages private sector investment, entrepreneurship and lifts community living standards.
