AALEP WANTS TO DEVELOP A STRONG PAN EUROPEAN PROFESSIONAL COHESION

Public Affairs can no longer be constrained within national boundaries. We believe the way Public Affairs is practiced, taught and understood in each European country will shape the market for government relations services and will have profound implications for the future of our profession. For this reason there's a need to develop a strong pan-European professional cohesion in the field of Public Affairs and to facilitate the networking of outstanding professionals that extends far beyond Brussels-based practitioners. Our objective is to develop a Forum for European Public Affairs professionals that provide opportunities for practitioners - to meet and interact with their colleagues; - to encourage professional respect among Public Affairs practitioners enabling them to exchange information of intraprofessional interest; - to set and maintain high standards of ethics and professional practice, making the Public Affairs better known and understood by business management and the general public; - to stimulate the flow of ideas and technical information among PA practitioners. In order to achieve those aims, AALEP will organise a conference every six months in a different European city. The conference will provide a great opportunity to learn what's going on in our profession (sharing ideas and information on practices, exchanging opinions, creating business opportunities etc.). We will also organise lectures and invite high profile speakers among our distinguished members and from outside.
