WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL OF AMERICA (WACA)

The World Affairs Councils of America (WACA)is the  national office of a network of over 90 member organizations across the United States , all of which are non-profit, non-partisan groups working to engage and educate Americans in international affairs and foreign policy. In order to become members of the national association, each council must maintain an open membership policy in addition to being a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and maintaining a non-partisan agenda.

WACA along with CSIS, Chatham House, GOPA Com and IREX is part of a consortium led by Belgian consultancy B&S Europe under a three year EU Policy and Outreach Partnership (EU POP USA) Project in the amount of EUR €2,999,246 ($3.34M) tender. The efforts by WACA and local World Affairs Councils will be to convene and inform U.S. audiences and stakeholders about the EU's initiatives and policies for finding common ground on which to continue EU-U.S. cooperation
