THE TOURISM FORUM EUROPE (TEF) AND MEPs
For Members of the European Parliament the Tourism Europe Forum (TEF) will be a reliable source of information and a useful tool to underpin debate on policy issues affecting the European tourism industry.
The Forum’s goal is to promote dialogue and include all major players in it, thus offering a unique opportunity to engage with many stakeholders, while respecting time constraints.
MEPs will be invited to join the TEF’s events to exchange views about the European tourism industry with a cross-section of stakeholders. Planned events will be up to one-hour and half, once a month.
Interested MEPs willing to steer the activities of the Forum can become members of the TEF’s Steering Committee. The Steering Committee approves MEPs from different political groups and nationalities as members. Based on the input of the Steering Committee, the TEF will aim at developing more useful tools for MEPs and best meet their needs.
The Steering Committee will meet only once per year to review the TEF’s role, to provide input on the programme of events and give impetus to its activities. No technical contribution will be required. MEPs on the Steering Committee will be given priority to chair the TEF’s events.
