  5. Cyprus: Stella Kyriakides, EPP. Current role: Member of Cyprus’ House of Representatives.
  6. Czech Republic: Věra Jourová, ALDE. Current role: European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality.
  7. Denmark: Margrethe Vestager, ALDE. Current role: European Commissioner for Competition.
  8. Estonia: Kadri Simson, ALDE. Current role: Served as Estonia's Minister of Economic Affairs from 2016 until 2019.
  9. Finland : Jutta Urpilainen, PES. Current role: A Member of Finland's Parliament, Urpilainen served as the country's Finance Minister from 2011 until 2014.
  10. France: Sylvie Goulard, ALDE. Current role: Deputy Governor at the French Central Bank, former MEP.
  11. Germany: Ursula von der Leyen, Germany, EPP. Current role: Commission President-Elect, previously German Defense Minister.
  12. Greece: Margaritis Schinas, EPP. Current role: European Commission Chief Spokesperson
  13. Hungary: László Trócsányi, not a party member but allied with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Current role: Trócsányi served as Hungary's Justice Minister from 2014 until 2019 and is now a Member of the European Parliament.
  14. Ireland: Phil Hogan, EPP. Current role: European Commissioner for Agriculture.
  15. Latvia: Valdis Dombrovskis, EPP. Current role:  European Commission’s Vice President for Euro and Social Dialogue.
  16. Lithuania : Virginijus Sinkevičius, His Farmers and Greens Union forms part of the Greens/European Free Alliance group in the European Parliament, but is not a member of the umbrella political family, the European Greens Party. Current role: Lithuania's Minister of Economy and Innovation.
  17. Luxembourg: Nicolas Schmit, PES. Current role: Member of the European Parliament and former Minister for Labor, Employment, and Social Economy.
  18. Malta: Helena Dalli, PES. Current role: Malta's Minister for European Affairs and Equality.
  19. Netherlands: Frans Timmermans, PES. Current role:  European Commission First Vice President.
  20. Poland: Janusz Wojciechowski, former leader of the Polish Peasants' Party, now allied with Law and Justice, part of the Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists in Europe. Current role: A member of the European Court of Auditors. Wojciechowski was previously a member, and for some time the leader, of the Polish Peasants' Party. He has served as an MEP from the Law and Justice party list.

  22. Slovakia: Maroš Šefčovič, PES. Current role: European Commission Vice President in charge of the Energy Union.
  23. Slovenia: Janez Lenarčič,  unaffiliated. Current role: Ambassador of Slovenia to the EU.
